Tomas Esparza and the Boa Constrictors
Date: Wednesday, February 17, 2010
Time: 6:30 pm
Location: Meeting Room

When you hear a Boa Constrictor concert you are truly hearing Michigan Blues.

In the short time they've been a band they've opened shows for Charlie Musselwhite, Jason Ricci and New Blood, and the legendary Motown session band the Funk Brothers.

The Boa Constrictors are influenced by the Detroit Blues and the Chicago harmonica bands of Little Walter, Junior Wells and Sonny Boy Williamson, as well as the swinging guitar sounds of B.B. King and T-Bone Walker. Add to this a large helping of classic boogie piano and groovy B-3 organ and you have a classic Boa Constrictors show.

Their shows are always spontaneous, energetic, and fun, and full of the honesty and sincerity that makes Blues the most exciting American musical art form.
